I believe that a great director works with a team and finds the best ability from wherever possible. For me, it's not about the factors I can control but rather working with the unexpected to my advantage. Take a look at some of the films I directed below.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
When you hire a cinematographer you need a person who will work with the team to accomplish your goals. Projects are most successful when a crew of individually talented people can each contribute while maintaining the director's vision. I pride myself on this ability and welcome every project as an experience to grow. As a cinematographer, I am experienced in composition, camera operation, lighting, conducting interviews, audio, and handheld gimbal operation. EDITING
An editors job is to tell a story, find visual beauty, and connect with the viewer on an emotional level. This is something that requires immense trust from the client. The best editors shine when things don’t go as planned. Ego can destroy collaboration and slow schedules to a screeching halt. It’s natural for editors to be attached to their ideas and also the biggest source of misaligned goals. I believe my job as an editor is to meet the clients expectations first and find ways to improve the project only after. Take a look some films that I edited below.
GSS GIMBAL SPECIALTY
I don't believe the saying "rise to the occasion". More accurately I think we descend to our highest level of preparation. Gimbal work comes down to training, practice, and experience. I have been very fortunate to learn directly from the Gyro Stabilized Systems Team and trained with Incline Dynamic Outlet.
